BEAUTIFUL Bison/Buffalo Robe Hide Tanned Leather WINTER FUR SO SOFT LUXURY

This exquisite Buffalo hide is amazing. Super soft to the touch and ready to be treasured by a new owner.

This hide has the lush prime hair of deep winter. The hide has two scars from fights with other Buffalo (in photos). This robe was kept draped over the back of our leather couch for years. It was never used as a rug or wall hanging or bedding. Years ago I bought many Buffalo related items, but many have been kept stored so it's time to let a lot of stuff go so things can be out and enjoyed. A Buffalo Robe is a wonderful addition to a home or cabin.

Use it as a warm rug, on top of your bed, over your couch, or just to wrap up in. It is approximately 7.5 feet long (to tip of tail) and about 5.5 feet at its widest point. The hide has six or so small holes from when it was created (about the size of a fat pencil) and you can see the fur come through them on the under side. I have pulled on the hair and nothing comes loose from the hide (unlike the hair on my head). There are some small knife marks on the skin side but not many.

The skin itself is soft (not hard). I checked it over this morning at the request of an eBayer and found that right along where the hump was, there is a 3/4" wide by 10" long line (the ridge of the hump) that is harder than the soft area of the rest of the hide. This fur is in great condition. Also, another person asked the weight.

The hide folded up weighs approximately 17.5 pounds. Message me if anyone else has questions or wants more photos. This was tanned with totally natural tanning agents, safe for your and your loved ones to be wrapped in. Due to being stored the fur needs to be brushed some to tame the wild look it has in the photos. It needs to be aired out.
