Bison Skull Cap real large historic buffalo skull Gallatin river find. This head has a wooden wall mounting plate attached. Skull Cap and horn cores - 26 1/4 tip to tip. Would have been 27 1/2 unbroomed.
This head is from a large bull. It was found protruding out of the bank of the Gallatin River north of Manhattan, Montana. The bison in this area had been exterminated by 1883 so this is at least 142 years old and probably older. I do my best to list any damage or use, but I'm not an expert. So, if there's something specific you need to know, please ask.
