Throughout the last decade I have been blessed to have the opportunity of purchasing Wild Yellowstone Bison Robes from the Confederated Salish & Kootenai tribe-here in Northwest Montana. My robes are tanned to order and are completely brand new when you pull them out of the box. No wondering how old the dressing on the blanket, or who else has cuddled your robe here. One of a kind item that will last forever. Yellowstone Bison have a silkier, cleaner-more dense hair than domestic Bison. Many say the Yellowstone strain is the purist in the world. These robes are not just one of a kind art, but can be used utilitarian style. Stay warm in a blizzard, use one as camouflage, dress up your home with a touch of the west, or throw one on your bed as a top comforter I have the most intense dreams when I sleep under mine, maybe because it's so warm.

Each of these wild robes is so individual in characteristics-that there is no stock photos here. This particular robe came from a 4-5 year old bull and has 85% prime November silky hair. Also has the full scalp (shaggy pillow) attached to blanket, which is the best part (hair wise) of the animal-very rare. 73" wide by 92" long from base of tail to muzzle, making this robe quite large at around 45' square feet.

Typical Yellowstone hair coloration-beautiful Caramel & Gold center/mane, with dark chocolate/black outer edges. Assorted hunter made skinning holes all diligently hand sewn.

Soft and supple natural gold leather with amazing suede. Most Wild Yellowstone bull blankets are just littered with natural defects. This one is near perfect, which is very difficult to come by. All wild blankets I sell come with a copy of the actual tribal bison harvest tag with my signature stating authenticity and the actual federal rump tag affixed for transportation-ensuring that you are receiving an actual wild Yellowstone Bison blanket.
