This prehistoric Bison Occidentalis (Buffalo) skull is one of the many fine examples of Bison skulls that I find while exploring our Midwestern rivers and waterways. It is 27 from tip to tip and weighs 15 lbs.
It is in very stable condition. The skull is recorded along with my other Ice Age finds in my Facebook blog titled Bison Bison Bison Paleo. These old skulls have many cavities, and you'll find from time to time that dust or small grains of sand or dirt may fall free from the skull. The stand is not included.
