Old Native American Indian Bison and Horse Wooden Feather- Peyote Box

Old Native American Indian Bison and Horse Wooden Feather- Peyote Box. A beautiful piece, hand carved from a solid wood log, no joints, a solid dugout box form and single piece top.

So this is made from just two pieces of wood. There are figures painted on the top and bottom of the lid. The bottom of the lid has a night scene and the top a daylight scene. The box is worn and cracked. It is also missing the rope for the lid.

The paint is mostly faded but you can still make out the details. A very charming piece and pretty rare.
