Victor Vigil Native American Bison Buffalo? Pottery Ceramic Sculpture Statue

Victor Vigil Native American Bison Buffalo?? Beautiful abstract vision of a bison by artist Victor Vigil.

Seems to be made from some type of pottery/ceramic. I say this because the statue is unfortunately cracked in multiple areas and a white media is visible under the surface. This artist was known best for working in stone but there are examples of other media as well. In the final photos is a signature on a known work of his to compare to the signature on this piece. It appears to match to my eye.

There is a large crack across the chest that I zoomed in on in the photo after the signature. The hind legs are also cracked. I cannot tell if the cracks are just in the surface/finish or if they are structural and have been repaired before my ownership. I tend to think they may just be crack to whatever finish was applied but I could be mistaken.

Overall the piece still looks awesome and when you aren't looking for the flaws they aren't immediately visible. I actually bought the piece based on photos and didn't even notice the damage until I had it in hand and closely inspected it. The statue still displays very nicely. The base is wood painted black with the signature in gold on the back side. Photo with soda can for scale. I've priced this competitively because of the damage and to hopefully stimulate a quicker sale.
